Ripp, even though I don't reload, I agree with your choice! The .257 is one of my calibers, along with the .340. Your trophies with that caliber are outstanding!

Hommer, my .257 wears a 26" barrel and I think any .257 should have nothing shorter than that. That's my opinion. Regardless of all of the shop talk, a 26" barrel carries no differently than one 2 inches shorter.
