This is another example of advances in technology taking time to sink in for the most of us. Back in the day of caliber reduction and the introduction of smokeless powder, it took a while, too.

The mono bullets certainly have their place, and I seriously wonder if the .22's are the caliber that is best improved by them.

A light, shortbarreled, quick twist {1/7} .22-250 would make a splendid deer rifle I do believe, shooting the heavier, longer X's.
