I'm interested in buying a AIA M10A1 in 7.63x39 second hand. It reportedly has a .308 barrel. The seller has said you can shoot .311 ammo through it. I have lots of 7.62x39 ammo left over from when Johnny "Jackboot" Howard stole my SKS.

My question is can you shoot safely Chinese 7.62x39 (.311) ammo though a .308 bore?

(Yes I know the Chinese stuff is corrosive etc so no need to mention that)
