mntrapper, my 30.06 started off as a Win. feather weight with the 22" barrel and black syn. stock, she now has a 24" heavy s/s barrel and custom walnut stock, slicked up action and epoxy bedded. mate she shoots 180gners into 1/2 inch at 100mtrs all day, taken rabbit to Sambar deer with it, even though I use my 375H&H 90% of the time the 30.06 still comes out as my favorite rifle...Les
