Magnafication, tube size, AO, etc.........Matters not if the adjustments are not up ti the task. Easily the most dependable, repeatable scope on the market is the NightForce. Has I believe 120min of total adjustment. I know of a 338 Lapua with a custom 45moa base, with the scope bottomed it has enough adjustment to zero at 2100yds. A scope with 60min and a 20 or 25moa base with 2750fps and a BC of .400 or so will do just fine to 1000yds.

The Zeiss 6.5-20 is excellent as well but has only 65 minutes of total adjustment, where as there 4.5-14x50 has 100min.

Along with being a Remington basher I don't like leupolds either.
