I used one of Karl Stumpfe's Mauser 98's in 8x68S for hartebeest, gemsbok, springbok as well maybe warthog? I used my 9.3x74R for most of the warthog.

Very capable. I wanted to try his out, as I want my principal "world" hunting bolt action to be in 8x68S. Even got some brass but no rifle yet.
