The difference between the Hunter and the Medallion is purely cosmetic. Gloss bluing, glossy finish on the stock, and a rosewood fore-end tip. All very well done. The Hunter model uses a matte finish on the metalwork and wood. The checkering is first rate.

These guns are light. In a heavy kicker control might be an issue. Unlike Brownings from the past, they actually put a very good recoil pad on them. In calibers up to 7mm magnum, I think you will have a very good hunting rifle that is easy to haul around. Calibers in the .300 and .338 club might be for seasoned shooters only.
