I'm with you, Rod - a .35x57Imp or 9.3x57Imp would would be cool. The 9.3x57Imp would easily get 2,350fps to 2,400fps with 286gr. bullets and 2,540fps+ with 270's.

Unfortunately, I don't have any '06IMP reamers, or I'd do my 9.3x57 Husky. Heck - a .25/06IMP, .280IMP, 7x57 IMP, .338/06Imp or .35 Whelen IMP reamer would also work. the only reamer I've got that's close is a .220Swift IMP reamer and it would only sharpen the shoulder angle to 40 degrees, for no real advantage- maybe 1gr. capacity more. The case needs to be opened up to a .455" to .457" shoulder diameter with a sharp 35 to 40 degree slope. Even a 28 degres shoudler would bo OK.

How many know the 9.3x62 is almost identical to an Ackley imp case, except for the shoulder angle? the 9.3x62 has identical capacity as would a 9.3x62 Ackley Imp case.
