Bonanza- What's your MV with that load? The 160gr Hornady is a great bullet. I'd been working on some loads for my Jeffery last year right around this time, and figured I'd see how it did on water-filled pumpkins. I think it was four or five pumpkins blown to bits, the bullet sitting in the back side (only part standing) of the last one, shot at 75 yards. Quite a hoot. The spray was spectacular, and that was just the wee little 6.5x53r and the soft Hornady bullet! I have some vintage solids, perhaps I'll gather some of these Halloween pumpkins and do a repeat with a longer string of pumpkins and a solid! --Tinker |
