Re: 308 Norma Magnum?

Gentlemen,

I aquired a .308 Norma Mag. from Dumoulin (an cheap experimental rifle) and it shoots pretty accurate.

I hunted once for roe deer and shot a buck at (lasered) 125m through in the heart-lung area with an exit in the off-shoulder with the Sierra 165grs HPBT Gameking. Bullet opened nice and the exit showed that you can use a little less gun for a 12kg animal.

I form the cases from .300 Win Mag brass and this functions perfect, using R904/Reloader19 powder and 180grs bullets.
I can recommend this cartridge in a rifle with a 24" barrel and I really like it!
Rolf

PS: Who needs a common cartridge?
