I have had a number of the Savage and Stevens 311 type doubles, They are truly tough guns. I have an old Stevens "crackshot .22 rifle" that says "patent applied for". I guess its pretty old. I had a 200 in .30-06 that was great. Only sold it because a buddy nagged me into selling it to him. Then I replaced it with a .308. It was accurate but never fed right. With the mag loaded and one in the barrel, if you fired it and opened the bolt the top round on the mag would jump out of the gun! Never could get it right...
