Are any of you Nimrods shooting the .17 Fireball?

I just bought a Cooper M38 chambered for that round. I got all my loading and cleaning equipment. I thought I had a scope for it, a Leupold 4.5-14 50mm A.O. with target knobs and target dot reticle. It turns out the scope cannot be mounted on that small action to suit me, so I just ordered a Leupold 4.5-14 40mm A.O. with varmint reticle. I will have it setup next week.

In the meantime I would like to hear experiences with this cartridge (also .17 MkIV). I would like to know how it does at what ranges, and any pet loads you have developed.
