I have a Savage .223 with a bull barrel and the Accu-trigger. IMO, the Accu-trigger is the best development to come out of the gun industry in decades. It just plumb works. Granted, I am used to and like double pull military triggers, and that fact might bias me a bit, but if you like milsurps and even the Glock pistol, you will really like the Accu-trigger. Many guns that are 3-inchers at 100m would be 1 1/2 inchers or better if they had a good trigger. Savage had a very accurate rifle to start with, and then the addition of a great trigger just made it all that much better. My Savage was purchased for the protection of trees in a new plantation and I have shot something over 500 ground squirrels with it since I bought it. So far, 86 this month. I really like this rifle and it has made me think hard about a Savage w/ Accu-trigger in a bigger caliber. I have been a Ruger fan for years, and when Ruger announced its new "Hawkeye" with a new "improved" trigger I had great hopes that they would copy or use some derivative of the A-trigger. Alas, we were given the LC6, a no-improvement finger lever you need to stand on in order to make a Ruger go bang... |
