Hi everyone,

I had an opportunity last weekend to shoot a friends Sako TRG M995 rifle chambered for .338 lapua mag cartridge and his Kimber .338 win mag rifle. I was impressed with both the rifles. Although I could differentiate betweeen the recoil of both rifles with .338 lapua having a heftier punch I was wondering how are both calibers different in ballistics. Also is the .338 lapua mag a good long range hunting round over .338 win or .300 win mag? Has any other firearm manufacturer other than Sako manufactured sporting rifles in .338 lapua mag?
