Hi All Years ago I bought a 22-250 Sabatti for my wife as it is a nice light rifle with good balance. We were in Far North Queensland and did not do much hunting. When we moved back home and started shooting larger numbers of pests it soon became evident that there was a basic design flaw with the rifle. It has a hinged floorplate and it is if the internal magazine is too large for the calibre. I showed it to one of my work mates and he suggested that maybe they had a few odd parts left over at the end of a run and "cobbled together this rifle". It is a real nuisance as it shoots beautifully, but after a couple of shots the bullets get all shuffled out of alignment and continually misfeeds Is it possible to do any general modifications to the magazine to remedy this problem? Cheers Andrew |

Sounds like a magazine block is missing. Common on the "short" chamberings they use one magazine case and put a block in to reduce it's length fot the shorter cartridges. |

Thanks for that fellas. I will take some measurements and talk to the manufacturer and see if the wrong maggazine block is in it. Cheers Andrew |

Hi Davo, If your going direct to the factory, remember that they do not understand English the way that those who have it as a main language do so I suggest as the old saying goes " A picture is worth a thousand words" take a few photos and add that to your Email. Cheers, Jeff Gray |

Hi Jeff I just sent an email off to Stephen. For your info, with factory ammo in the magazine and the bullet sitting right back in the magazine, the nose of the projectile is 15mm back from the start of the feed ramp. To my untrained eye, it looks like there is a magazine block both at the front and rear. When speaking to Stephen, he said that they have now gone away from doing these staggered feed style magazines. Cheers Davo |
