Yes they exist. What ever they are selling today you donīt want any of it. Stick to the older models like M68, M65.

May be but I should say that I like their M97 models more than SAUER 202 or Mauser M03. And I donīt mention Blaser because itīs not my "cup of tea" in any means.

Re: Schultz and Larsen

Thanks gents for the replies. The reason for asking is one of our customers is interested in these rifles after seeing an old brochure.

Lancaster, thanks for the links, I have seen that website but it is pretty basic and has been the same for years now so I was not sure if they still exist or not.

Hi Waldmannsheil,
What are the problems with the newer models?
I was looking at one in Tamworth (country town in NSW) a little while ago and was very impressed with the look and feel. The bolt was one of the smoothest that I have felt in its operation. I very nearly purchased the rifle I was looking at.

Re: Schultz and Larsen

they have a new distributor in the UK which has set up this website, which does seem to cover the whole range of current production in a clear way.

Re: Schultz and Larsen

The bolt head, extractor design and the barrel removal looks very similar to the Rowra Titan 6. Thought the Titan has only one bolt to tighten the barrel in place from memory.

Re: Schultz and Larsen

Simon, thanks for that link. It seems that the importer has a better website than the manufacturer. Unfortunately they don't seem to be making the Model 97 Take-Down any more. Westley and Richards have a nice one for sale at the moment in their used gun section.

got the information the Model 97 -DL was made between 1995 and 2009 with half and full stock but only 50 rifles of this model total as take down version so such a rifle will be pretty rare.

Re: Schultz and Larsen

pics of a new S&L Victory with full stock (special order, only 2 other full stocks made till now) two barrels 243 and 308 win and the groups shooting at 200 meter are remarkable for a stutzen.
there is maybe a good reason for cut rifling barrels like S&L allways did.

Re: Schultz and Larsen

I just last week ended up with a mint Schultz & Larsen 308 Norma barrel, in the shed at work in the NT there are hundreds & hundreds of 308 Norma rounds & cases but I was thinking of just rechambering to 300Win, dont know what the barrel might fit yet ?

Oh no, keep it .308 Norma Magnum.

And especially if you have all those cartridges and brass. Who was the .308 NM shooter in the past? Recent or a long time ago?

Re: Schultz and Larsen

Well not really my cartridges or brass & maybe not in the best condition now days, it's from long ago when Bob's main gun was a Mauser 308NM before rebarreling to 340Weatherby Mag .

I shot a lot of Donkeys & Horses with the 308NM cartridges fired from a 300Win when we ran out of 300Win ammo one time, shot well to !
