I recently acquired a Winchester Model 777 and have been unable to find information on it. Other than the fact that it was made for the international market in 1979. It was made in Japan. It uses a rear locking bolt and is chambered in 30-06. Since this is an international forum I thought some of the members might know something about this rifle and it's history. Thank You, GeezerD |

G'Day Fella's, IIRC, I handled a new one of these, decades ago now in a local Gun Shop? It had an extremely high gloss finish on both the metal work and the stock, which was a stunning stick of wood!!! Beyond that I can't remember much but it did look to be very well made and finished! Doh! Homer |

Here's one on Gunbroker right now: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=334533860 I can't vouch for all the seller's claims, and I can't see how it is worth $19,000.00, but it's a start.................. |

Looking at the pictures, my mind said Sauer. Is that correct? |

They were made by Miroku in Japan but are similar to the Sauer. I have mine listed on gunbroker now for way less than the one mentioned. ------------ GeezerD |
