Mehul, Talk to the IT guy's. Often the drive can easily be saved unless it has mechanically crashed. I run back up often, the drive is then stored in my safe and the information is encrypted, 4096 bit or more, to prevent curiosity. A year ago, or so, I bought a Seagate free agent go to use as back up - runs solely on usb and no external power. Now, learn from the accident and get a back up drive that is not connected to the computer. Johan |
