Re: Two Tickets to Hunza

Fantastic Nick, thank you so much!

I agree with the posts above about Gates' book "Trophy Hunter in Asia", especially his story about his epic 95 mile march to Chapinchingal Pass for his Marco Polo rams. That hunt by him and Herb Klein opened up Marco Polo sheep hunting to sportsmen post war. That tale, will probably forever be held as the gold standard to which all sheep hunts will be judged. It was adventure.

I'm mid-way through a fascinating Asian sheep (argali) hunting book right now by Robert Anderson, "Wind, Dust and Snow - The Great Rams of Asia". Anyone interested in the re-opening of Asia to sheep hunting (Cold war to present day), I highly recommend this book.

Thank you again Nick. Two Tickets to Hunza is a great find and many of us would not have been able to read it if you weren't savvy enough to share that with us. Much appreciated.

Dave
