Macleod, NitroX is absolutely right - the only "hunting" that India has seen in recent years was for wild boar in the state fo Chhatisgarh where five permits were sold to non Indians in 2004. Whatever little hunting takes place there is on crop protection permits and that is why only farmers get to down the occasional boar, fox or nilgai with the permission of local forest authorities. Cross the border into Pakistan to the West or Nepal to the North of India and you have fine hunting especially for sheep. Cheers! |
