Re: China's ban on ivory trade comes into force

About six month ago I was doing a job for a lady who had worked in Africa as a scientist for four years carrying out studies on elephants and she explained how bad the poaching by the Chinese is in National parks and any where else that they could find ivory, she said most of the shooting was done by chopper then the ground crew or chopper would be there on the spot in no time and have the ivory out. The parks have many roads cris crossing them and are quite busy with legitimate Chinese freight the ivory would be loaded on to one of the trucks and gone in no time, also she said the poaching has got to the stage of any visible made the animal a target.
