Just got back from another great weekend of chital/axis deer stalking. My freezer was running low so I took my "old reliable" my old Merkel drilling. I took two stags, one on the small side and the other larger. It was an early rifle hunt so the stags were still in velvet.

The hunt started off hard with lots of rain and stormy weather. Got the first little one when him and one of his buddies tried to sneak up on me, shot him from my hiding place at about 50 yards or so.

The second day we had a good plan to glass a hill side and saw several groups feeding in the early morning. I got this one at about 150 yards. Sorry in advance for the crappy photos, all I had was my camera on my phone.
