Quote: Mike, there was basically none other than the first-aid kit I had brought along.. as an update to his medical condition..he went in to the ER when we got back and found he had a broken fibia...but the doc sent him to a specialist..the following day they did a more extensive testing and found his ankle was broke in 2 places with an additional chip broken off one side..he had surgery the following day and the screwed everything back together..off that foot for 6-8 weeks.. but again--I saw the entire thing unfold..he is very very lucky to be alive.. and Yes, as to the outfitter..I found out a little more since --the manager that is normally in camp was at his brothers funeral --who had slipped and fell to his death a week prior to our arrival..the guides there had no normal supervision and were left to their own accord...big mistake imho, on the outfitters part...have a call today from the booking agent..will advise how this all plays out.. thx Ripp |
