Good news that leopard still live in Turkey. What's puzzling me is that a leopard can come from nowhere, not having formerly fed on sheep? For what I know, the wild boar is abundant there, and may be, just like the wolf the leopard is living on them? Many authors have insisted, especially Craig B.,that the leopard is very discreet and can thrive unknown of the human population. In Burkina and Cameroon, the leopard is protected as supposed to be rare. Not so at all. One Burkinabe told me that where the baboon is present, the leopard too. In fact it's the only animal that can kept the baboon population at a reasonable level. As he can also live on insects, frogs, snakes, hares, birds, small mammals...he can live almost anywhere. |
