It's been a long time since I've checked the forums and I happened to see this post. My dad and grandfather lived in India back in the 70's. They used to take hunting trips all over the continent. My dad used to tell me how they would hunt peacock. They would get several beaters in the bush and they would drive the peacocks towards a gulley where they would fly(or run around the gulley). He always told me how difficult they were to hunt and that they were delicious table fare. Not sure where they were hunting but they only went after them in specific areas. I've always wanted to hunt india because of all my dad's stories of the fabulous bird(upland and waterfowl) and sambar hunting. |
