My guess is bruin killed dad, was having lunch, spotted daughter, played cat like for a while in killing her, then went back to the main meal of poor 'ol dad.

I still would not mess in a brown bear's territory without sufficient firepower.

Bear kills are not pretty. My neighbor was a LEO in Alaska and had some nasty experiences in recovering bear killed humans. Yes they will eat you down to the soles of your boots! Then have the boot soles for dessert. In one recovery they did not find the skull, only fragments and the other bones were consumed also.
