A leopard mauled 11 people as panicked villagers scrambled onto rooftops and vehicles while an alert photographer snapped some stunning images. The attack occurred Tuesday in the tightly-packed Indian slum of Prakash Nagar, when the wild cat vaulted over a short wall and into the streets. According to published reports, the adult male leopard went after villagers at random as policemen and forest guards pursued it, trying to shoot the big cat with a tranquilizer dart.
