Thanks very much for the education! VERY interesting. There is nowhere like Australia when it comes to large non-native species and fascinating attempts to manage them. Years ago an old fellow I know made a trip over and shot camels, donkeys, etc. Amazing. One of his favorite lines is to stand around listening to guys tell stories about their deer or elk. Then he says..."Yeah, but have you ever shot a camel??" He never kept a single "trophy" but he had the time of his life. All of us are varmint shooters around here but as you know our varmints are small, really small. Varmint shooting when the varmints are bovines, equines and whatever a camel is has got to be a high time. I can only imagine. So what has become of this business? Is it still ongoing? Thanks for the input. |
