Re: ADA trophy display from the MV branch,Albury NSW

Nitro old fella i am truly sorry that i didnt take more,i simply thought that there would be quite a few from different contributors,i havent seen any others on any other forums,a pity you couldnt make it as you undoubtably would have loved it and been in your element.

Errol Mason signed his book for me,Reg Gordon was there plus outfitters with hunts..a good day mate.

Big fallow bucks, some good hoggies, chital, rusa and a couple of full mounts too. I thought it was good of the fellas putting their trophies up for display as many of them did many miles to get there.

Other O/S mounts included RM goats/rams,whitetail,mulies,waps,muntjac full mount and the list go`s on.

Trade in gunshops and gear outfitters were in demand with good prices i thought.

Taxidermists were in short supply though and my old mate Ian Humphries being just out of hospital after a tough op had his stand there but couldnt handle a big display which is a pity as he`s very very good.He had a topline sambar stag there that i would swap a testicle for (in the wild)

Ian also had an interesting set of malformed antlers about 40 inches wide that i simply forgot to get a pic of,kicking myself again.

Under those sambar another fifty heads of which some were of super quality, lots of heads never get any publicity as their owners dont want it and thus often are only seen as in a display like this one.

Patrick i hope some of those heads have whetted your appetite for June mate, keep up the leg work too.

That bottom pic is one taken by an old mate that i hadnt seen for some time and its num three, its just been displaced by Ingpens monster stag for num two, which incidentally was supposed to have been coming along but wasnt there when we left.
It was bloody great to catch up with topline hunters that live and breathe the sport and i will certainly visit the next one..
