Off topic again, but the movie is set in Arnhemland so might be interesting.

An Australian Aboriginal movie (made with non-Aboriginal film makers as well of course) titled "Ten Canoes" received some sort of award at Cannes. It is now showing in cinemas in Australia.

It is set in Arnhemland and deals with the tribal life of the 'blackfellas' possibly before white man arrived (? I haven't seen it ?).

Has anyone seen it and what did you think of the movie?

I may shift this thread later to the films, literature etc forum. I think the movie might be interesting alone in that it is set and filmed in Arnhemland in the Top End of the Northern Territory.
