Christer we have the metric system here - kilometres, metres, centremetres, kgs, tonnes, litres etc Plus Celsius not fahrenheit for temps. But we used to have the British Imperial system, and I am just old enough to be screwed up, so when I talk about holding over on a shot, I think in inches, same with group size. I will also talk in feet as well, and often think less than a metre in feet and a metre or more in metres. Though ranges when shooting I probably think in yards. I'm getting out of thinking in miles and now think in kilometres. ![]() I see Marty describes Melbourne in Miles. ![]() Most Territorians also still use gallons for beer though ![]() We also use the Dollar (the Australian dollar A$1:US$0.55) and Cents. But we didn't copy the yanks with the dollar. The first Australian currency was the "Holey" dollar. Currency was scarce and the colonists took Spanish dollars and cut a small coin out of them, making the larger coin a "Holey" dollar. Nuriootpa is about 80 kms North from Adelaide so you have the right place. |
