In reply to: Here's an idea I had as soon as I saw that picture. Buffalo head down as if swinging his horns and head around in anger. A shoulder mounted cape might not be big enough and you would want to be sure the taxidermist can do a good job of it. A skull mount would show the shape of the horns off well too, and is a lot easier. No matter what it will make an impressive trophy on your wall. A "stroppy" buffalo will often drop its nose and swing its horns around to show its opponent the size of its horns. I know we had a bull like this on my cull hunt and George and I turned tail and ran away like two scared school girls (because we didn't want to have to shoot the bull if it charged). It was probably only 30 metres away. |
