I only thought they liked the bigger lures, (bigger lure normally bigger fish) otherwise you get only bloody greedy catfish!
Best to date 99cm, haven't cracked the magic 1 metre!
As to using the bore gun - well there are days when you can pass a lure in front of a Barra's nose & he won't even take it, unless he's hungry & then it's ON!
But on those bloody days mate........fire away!
