That short bez tine was actually full-size but broken off near the base early in the rut, judging by the worn edges. Tip of the trez tine was chipped off too...
Perhaps this detracts from the trophy quality in some hunters' eyes but I quite like the fact that he must have been a fighter!

I remembered that these animals can be called "Windsor Stags" because Queen Victoria selected them from the grounds of Windsor Castle to send over to Queensland in 1873. Cool bananas!
