Since spread with no basis to numerous places with zero additional study or evidence. Recently extended to the UK agreed to by spineless shooting organisations to all game bird shooting. Because exporting pheasant, grouse, etc shot with lead shot, to the anti gun anti hunting EU is illegal.

Only shooting waterfowl requires it by law, it is illegal to have lead shot shells in your possession on a duck reserve.

I don't see a need for aweful steel shot. A few boxes for reserve waterfowl shooting will do me.
