Australia : QLD : Cairns Thursday, 29 September 2005. 14:10 (AEST) Human bone near croc attack site A bone found near the site of a crocodile attack on Queensland's Cape York in August has been identified as being human. Police say forensic tests have confirmed that the bone, found on the banks of the Normanby River, was that of 60-year-old Barry Jefferies. Mr Jefferies was pulled from a canoe by a crocodile while he was fishing. The crocodile believed to have been responsible for the attack has been destroyed. |
