The Asian waterbuffalo of which we have plenty here,is approxately the same size as the cape buff.i.e. as far as the body but the horns are much smaller though there is a buff. but that to is small.The males are used by farmers for ploughing fields while the females for their milk.On the border in the nomans land between India and Pakistan some buffs. and cows are to be found which are completely wild and dangerous and people do hunt them but at the risk of drawing HMG fire from the Indians.
