I am happy that you accomplished what you set out to do, ie add a buffalo (or two) to the Mannlicher's impressive tally. We are all relieved that you were not subjected to an 'incident', and that no 'pricked' animals escaped.

I assume that now you know a buff can be hit in what should be the perfect spot with a 6.5, and merely shrug it off. One-shot kills with small-bores on big animals like buffalo are the exception rather than the rule.

We are all hanging out for the war-stories and photos, so please don't keep us in suspense for too long!
