Re: "Traditions of Yesteryear", Stockwell Hunt Club, Barossa

That's a great account of old tradition.
Great way to keep the fellows sharp in their skills, close as associates, and strong in the community with the sport.

Great to see the wildlife joining in the merriment as well, that hare with the smoke and the cup quite the character...
;-)

Good on the young fellows in the modern photo, representing the new generation. Let's keep the tradition alive!

In our youner countries traditions and cultural practices are rarer and take time to develop,, Some of course get lost over time.

Younger countries often have a freer lifestyle and practices. Less hide bound, in strict rules and frowns.

But sometimes these things add interest and richness.

A night spotlighting like the most some only get up to, is nothing like a good day out with 45 guys and a few girls, especially if social aspects are added to it.

Some of our traditions and culture is borrowed or inherited from the "old countries" too of course. Except here it is not compulsory.

Must dig out some more photos to share.

Maybe a 'lancaster' in the future, will dig out my photos to share of the "old days".
