There was always family firearms around the house but the first firearm/rifle I purchased (in the second or third year of my apprenticeship), was a new Tikka, LSA-55, in .222Rem. Had a lot of fun with that. Wore out the barrel, and sold it off.
But a few years later, I bought another new one(Tikka LSA-55, in .222), with a heavy barrel ............... have had and still having Fun with it as well.
