A friend called me this morning and asked me what hunting was available in Australia in July. He said his wife's company might be sending her there for 2 weeks. He gets to go along and maybe hunt. So I have a few questions for this forum.

1. Are water buffalo avaiable in July?

2. Is a .338 Win adequate for them?

3. If he would have too much trouble importing his rifle on this short of a notice is it a common practise to rent a rifle?

4. What would a decent outfitter or guide cost?

5. What other species are available in July?

6. Other than a passport what else does he need? i.e. visa, shots etc.
