Well done with the 338-06, great cartridge, better suited to more Southern States with more light game & longer range but will still handle the big boys in a push, the 9.3X62 is a little better suited (in my mind any way) to the big fellas .

I have used the 185gr TS in mine a lot as it can be pushed to crazy velocity's in my Weatherby Ultra Light, just trying out the GMX 185gr now, can't push them as fast yet & not quite so accurate in my 338/06 but worked well in my 30/06
