That's a nice looking mtn rig.. My wife has a lightweight model in .308..however not an ascent..
shoots incredibly well with Nosler factory loads.. 165gr Accubonds..

7lbs is as high as I go for a mtn rifle anymore...the good ones still shoot well and see absolutely no reason to carry a heavier rifle around the mtns all day when you dont have to..

Also, thx for killing the cat..as Lancaster stated, lost of birds will thank you for it
