Thanks for sharing Mick!

What velocity does your rifle launch those 250gr woodleighs?

Shooting 250gr woodleigh SP in my 318WR at 2150fps, duplicate a solid. It goes clean through an Eland.

I am really battling to get my loads to 2200fps. I would love to get 2350fps.

The bertram bullets I bought, are undersize compared to woodleigh. When reloading, it actually falls into the case before I can seat it! So I have no choice but to shoot woodleighs.

My loads are out of the woodleigh book so for the 250 RNSP I'm probably getting 2250fps -2300fps, long barrel.
Not that interested as no pressure signs and the load shoots well. Also works well on game. The comment re "too hard on pigs". Is in regards to the penetration of the 250's. Even length ways shots exit on pigs. Ive been carrying it in the hope of chance at a buff. Should work fine judging from experiences with its performance on scrubbers.
Ill just keep carrying it and wait for the opportunity.
Im pretty basic with loads and once I've found one that works I stick to it so won't be changing from the woodleighs.
Its a pity the new rigby's are not offered in the great English calibres.
Cheers Mick
