I wonder if he was white or Aboriginal? And whether the tour guide was armed adequately at all? I assume the 'safari' wasn't a hunting safari(?). Going for a walk in the bush with water buffalo, one day, one will be moody and looking for trouble. Even more so with scrib bulls, who always seem in a temper. Though having said that I have often gone for a walk without a rifle in Arnhemland, including in grassy wetlands. Later seeing aerial photos of big salties lying in the same sort of grass, decided that wasn't as smart. But carrying stuff out for other hunters. If unarmed putting oneself in front a charging bull is very brave. |
