Yeah bugger that! No way I would be shooting at a decent buff with a 'Three-O'.
A mate had one he caught as a calf to fatten up and butcher and to kill it he used a 30-30, I was over his place at the time and didn't have a rifle with me and offered to go home and get the .458 but he wouldn't have a bar of it. Out comes the winny lever gun and he shot it between the eyes at about 15m and all it did was blow the skin off it's head and take a chumk of skull out. The thing was going crazy and he lost a lot of meat from the two front quaters because he shot it 6 more times to put it down... Bad stuff.
Also seen two pig hunters (one with a .308 and other a .270) have to shoot one 3 times each with a finisher required and they were all good shots.
Nothing under .375 for me!
