In the early 80s I used to work at Argyle diamond mine 200 ks south of Wyndam.
As usual the Bell truck showed up with food and gear for the mine.It used to be a triple road train
The driver if behind time would off load as quick as possible and head to Wyndam.
This particular trip the driver unloaded and went through to Wyndam. When he finished at Wyndam he went to the pub got pissed ( drunk) and decided to go for a swim.He has never been seen since.
