Just returned home from a 5 day trip to Flinders Island. Hunted cape barron geese with Rock jaw tours. Great shooting with birds driven to corridors with shooters spaced across them for some great pass shooting. Various types of 12 bores used with #2 shells. mostl low but the birds are big and require a solid hit to bring them down. Meat taken and not bad eating. Broke the shooting up with a bit of fishing, and sight seeing. Good crew with everyone getting along and sharing the work load. Mixed shotgunning experience amongst the crew with everyone taking birds. Awesome opportunity at a new species. Heres a few pics cheers Mick A pair on the past with tail wind ![]() mornings bag ![]() birds over shooters ![]() ![]() ![]() getting dropped of for a drive ![]() goose meat ![]() many hands make light work ![]() removing breasts ![]() aussie salmon ![]() birds landing ![]() bored waiting ![]() Walked in ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() a nice double/ pair with some good shooting ![]() ![]() "I got a goose" Joey's bird last drive ![]() Very happy Joey ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
