I caught this solid fella one late evening. I saw him from way up top and after a mad scramble downhill for 700 odd yards I managed to intercept him. He was rubbing inside the ti-tree for some time then wandered out.My dog alerted me to his whereabouts by listening but I couldn't see him as the ti-tree is thick as.
Me knocking the camera didn't help while looking for the other deer.
Yep I did have " dottore della morte" (308 NM) at hand but I would rather see these type of stags go to a young fella starting out. I was very surprised that he headed into open ground rather than turn inside out and duck into the cover again..the silly bastard! And silly too stopping to listen to an armed hunter. He was in the WTF was that mode ha ha.
