Don't see many wedgetail eagles here now. There used to be a nest in the hills still, but I think it is now abandoned. For many years. Poisoning of seed to kill galahs and other birds, leads to the poisoning of the wedgetails. I know someone who has a taxidermied wedgetail found poisoned in this way. No they didn't put any poison out just found the eagle in a reasonably fresh state during harvest time. |
